William Podmore

William Podmore passed away on April 21, 2025, at the age of 82. He was predeceased by his parents, John and Winifred Podmore; his brother, Chester Podmore (Jean); his sister, Hope Crowningshield (Sheridan); and his nephew, Aaron.

He is survived by his beloved companion, Polly Joy, and his lifelong friend and mother of his children, Jane Simpson. His children are Richard Podmore (Jessica), Kathy Decker (David), and Becky Sheehan (Timothy). He was the proud grandfather of William, Joseph, and Christopher Podmore; Samantha Decker; and Meggan, Peter, and Logan Sheehan. He also leaves behind many great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, all of whom he loved and cherished deeply.

Throughout his life, William was a dedicated tradesman. He worked for the Town of Elizabethtown, served as a mechanic at Egglefields, and spent time as both a logger and a carpenter in the local union.

He will be remembered fondly and missed greatly by all who knew him.
