William Anthony Faubert
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of William A. Faubert of Mooers, New York who passed away at his home on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 in the presence of his beloved wife Laurie and his family members following a hard fought battle with cancer.
He was born in Plattsburgh, New York on July 23, 1963. He was a dedicated, hard working family man who was always eager to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He was a multi-talented individual whose working career touched Northern Blacktopping, Marty’s Carpet, Monette’s Furniture and Prim Hall. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, and a variety of other outdoor activities. His grandchildren were his pride and joy.
He is survived by his loyal and loving wife, Laurie A. Faubert; three children, Chad Faubert and his wife Cierra of Champlain; Nathan Faubert and his wife Brittany of Mooers, and Haley Faubert of Phoenix, Arizona; two grandchildren, Brysen and Haidyn Faubert; his siblings Arthur C. Faubert, Jr. and his wife Wendy of Beekmantown; Raymond Faubert of Champlain; Susan Babbie of Champlain; Michael Faubert and companion Sharon of Champlain; Judy Tallada and her husband Duane of Beekmantown; Patty Goodfellow and her husband Douglas of Mooers, and Albert Faubert and his wife Shannon of Beekmantown; his in-laws Earl and Ann Garrant of Beekmantown; sister-in-laws Shelley Seymour; Kim Garrant and spouse Katie; Tammy Deno and husband Lynn; brother in laws James Garrant and spouse Kathy; and Michael Garrant and his companion Jan Chauvin; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and many dear friends.
He was predeceased by his parents, Arthur C. Faubert and Dorothy M. (Kemp) Faubert. He was deeply loved and respected by all who were close to him. His family and friends will miss his great sense of humor, endless love and sincere compassion for others.
Sincerest thanks are extended to Hospice of the North Country and Fletcher Allen Health Care where he was cared for by Dr. Marc Greenblat, Dr. Janet Ely, nurse Jean Fey and all their wonderful Oncology staff members and associates. Their care and support efforts were very much appreciated during this difficult time.
Calling Hours will be from 9:00 to 11:00 AM Saturday April 26, 2014 at Heald Funeral Home Inc., 48 Court St., Plattsburgh. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 AM in the Heald Funeral Home Chapel.
