Walter H. Drollette, 60, of the Picketts Corners Road, passed away unexpectedly, Tuesday September 23, 2014 at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. He was born in Plattsburgh on July 31, 1954 son of the late Hugh and Irene (Garsow) Drollette.
Walter retired from the Department of Correction after 25 years of service in 2004. He was well known in the area for his taping and painting. Walter enjoyed gardening, wood working and spending time with family and friends.
Walter is survived by his companion Jill Heath of 20 years, two brothers: Hugh Drollette and his wife Eva of Saranac, Scott Drollette of Plattsburgh, Sisters; Georgette Couture and her husband Richard of Dannemora, Jenny Dumas of Dannemora, Linda Drollette of Dannemora, Brenda Kramer of Dannemora, Barbara Bracken of Dannemora, Jackie Ryan of Cadyville, Shirley Drollette of Saranac, Brenadette Hart and her husband Gary of Dannemora and Andrea Bosworth and her husband Scott of Dannemora. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He is predeceased by his daughter Stephanie and his nephew Scott Bracken, two brothers in law Pat Ryan and Richard Dumas.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 AM Friday September 26, 2014 at St. Joseph’s Church in Dannemora. Burial will follow in the parish Cemetery.
Donations in his memory may be made to Charity of one’s choice.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Heald Funeral Home, 48 Court Street, Plattsburgh.
