Thomas "Rod" Miller was born January 28, 1958 in Toronto, Canada. He was a loved father and friend. He passed away peacefully in Plattsburgh, NY on April 13, 2026 at 69 years old.

He worked for the New York State Department of Corrections for 25 years and retired to his favorite spot, Star Lake, New York in 2020. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and his friends and family will remember him for his love of the outdoors and his communities in Buffalo, Syracuse and Star Lake.

Rod was preceded in death by his parents and brother, BJ. He is survived by his two children, Erica and Vaughn Miller, his siblings, Ken, Tammy, Gail and Mike, and nieces and nephews.

His Celebration of Life will be held Saturday June 13, 2026 in Star Lake, NY at Twin Lakes Restaurant & Bar. If you'd like to come remember him, please stop by between 11 am and 3 pm for food, drink and photos at his favorite place to grab a bite.
