Tanya Trombley, age 50, passed away unexpectedly at her home on March 10, 2026. Born October 21, 1975, in Troy, Tanya was the cherished daughter of Louis and Rita Trombley.

Tanya's life was filled with music, earning her the nickname "the singing waitress" at work, even though that wasn't her official role. Her passion for singing and classic movies, especially musicals, brought happiness to her family and friends. Tanya's favorite pastime was sharing funny internet videos with everyone she knew (and could reach on Facebook). She also loved to drink pickle juice, typically not even eating the pickles.

She was a devoted mother to her son Max, with whom she lovingly raised monarch butterflies from caterpillar to butterfly, and then released them to the world together. Despite her nurturing nature, Tanya had an amusing fear of earthworms. Her love for animals was unmatched-she adored her two cats and was a lifelong advocate for all creatures.

She was preceded in death by her father, Louis Trombley, whom she missed daily.

She is survived by her husband Tim Denis; her children Kali Martin, Maximus Denis, Miranda Denis and Grace Denis; and her mother Rita Trombley; as well as her siblings James McGee, Kathleen McGee, Dawn Trombley, and Louis Trombley, Jr. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

An informal gathering will be held to celebrate Tanya's life on Tuesday, March 24, 2026 from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Lake Forest Retirement Community, where the residents loved her, located at 8 Lake Forest Drive in Plattsburgh.
