Shirley Drollette

March 1, 1936 — November 24, 2023

Shirley Joan Drollette, a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on November 24, 2023, surrounded by her family. She was born on March 1, 1936, in Plattsburgh, NY, to her loving parents Roland and Harriet (Tedford) Sullivan, who instilled in her a strong work ethic and a kind heart. She married Lyman Drollette and they had six children.

Shirley's dedication to caring for others led her to work at Champlain Valley Physician's Hospital for over 30 years, where she made a significant impact on countless lives. Her commitment and passion in the staffing office at CVPH were deeply respected by colleagues and patients alike.

While Shirley found fulfillment in her career, her true joy came from her loved ones and the simple pleasures of life. She had an adventurous spirit, and she loved to travel whenever the opportunity arose. Whether exploring new destinations or revisiting cherished places, Shirley embraced every new experience with open arms.

Shirley had a deep affection for animals and never turned away a creature in need. In her Cadyville home, she fed every animal that came to her doorstep, offering them comfort and care. Her compassion for all living beings touched the hearts of those around her.

She is survived by her three children whom she loved dearly: Judy (Sam Harb) Drollette, Tim (Susan) Drollette, and Wayne Drollette. Shirley also leaves behind eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren who brought immense joy into her life.

Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Lyman, as well as her sons Lyman, Randall, and Jeff. They will always be remembered by the family.

Private services will be held with interment at the Saranac Methodist Cemetery. Shirley's legacy of love, compassion, and dedication will continue to inspire those who knew her.

Services were entrusted to Heidrick Funeral Home (formerly Heald Funeral Home), 48 Court St., Plattsburgh. Online condolences may be left at www.heidrickfuneralhome.com.
