Sherry Sandberg

April 23, 1946 — April 5, 2024

In loving memory of Sherry Lee Sandberg, who was born on April 23, 1946 and passed away on April 5, 2024, peacefully at her residence in Lewis, NY. She was a devoted wife to her beloved husband Stephen Sandberg, Sr., and a cherished mother to her children Tammy and Stephen, Jr.

Sherry, a quiet and compassionate soul, touched the hearts of all who knew her. Her gentle spirit and unwavering kindness were felt by everyone she encountered. Despite her own quiet nature, she possessed a deep well of empathy and was always quick to lend a helping hand to others in need.

An avid lover of the simpler things in life, Sherry found joy in the little treasures she discovered at garage sales, where she would often spend her leisurely hours. She also pursued her passion for knitting and crocheting, creating beautiful pieces that reflected her creativity and love for her craft.

Above all, Sherry's greatest joy stemmed from her enduring love for her husband, Stephen, whom she adored with every fiber of her being. Their bond was one of shared devotion, laughter, and a heartfelt connection that transcended time and circumstance.

She was preceded in death by her parents Clarence and Gertrude Hance; her siblings June Pulsifer, Harold Hance, Sr., Larry Hance, and David Hance.

Sherry is survived by her husband Stephen; her children Tammy (Michael) Lamere and Stephen (Rebecca) Sandberg, Jr.; her sister Star (Timothy) Gay; her grandchildren Brandy, Kristan, Stephen III, Andrew, Colby, and Sarah; several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

A private Memorial Service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.

May the beauty of Sherry's spirit continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. As we bid her farewell, let us remember her with fondness and gratitude for the light she brought into our lives.

Services were entrusted to Heidrick Funeral Home, 7521 Court St., Elizabethtown, NY.
