Ruthann Lee

September 24, 1944 — September 12, 2025

Ruthann Fundis Lee, beloved mother, sister, Nana, Gigi, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 12, 2025, just shy of her 81st birthday.

She was born on September 24, 1944, in Binghamton, New York, and moved with her family to Plainfield, New Jersey, at an early age. She attended Hubbard Middle School and Plainfield High School before relocating to Ballston Lake in 1961. She graduated from Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake High School in 1962 and later attended SUNY Schenectady Community College.

She and Bob raised their family in Ballston Spa before settling into the little town of Willsboro, New York where she spent her days crafting and sharing her love of fishing with countless people aboard their boat, "The Perfect Day".

Throughout her life, Ruthann touched countless hearts with her kindness, humor, and generosity. She was truly one in a million, and her presence brought joy to everyone fortunate enough to know her. Her talents and passions also brought people together-whether through her amazing cooking (especially her famous red pepper jelly), or her love of quilting and crafting. Ruthann's home was always warm, welcoming, and filled with creativity. And at her side was always her beloved cat, Molly, her faithful companion.

She was predeceased by her husband, and life long fishing partner Robert G. Lee, and her son, Donald Jennings.

She is survived by her sons Robert Jennings (Joy Bergeron) and Charles Jennings; her stepchildren Robert Lee (Angie Ragin Lee) and Jennifer Lee Blaauboer (Scott Blaauboer); her brother William G. Fundis II (Lynn Rutkowski Fundis); her nephew William G. Fundis III (Shannon Caraglin Fundis); and her cherished grandnieces Lillian Fundis and Elenora Fundis.

She was the proud Nana of Taylor Jennings, Jadie Lee, Kolbie Lee, Gracie Lee, Wade Blaauboer and Miranda Blaauboer; and the loving Gigi of Cam Jennings, Carter Jennings, and Whitney Blaauboer.

In keeping with her wishes, there will be no services. Those who wish to honor her memory may make a donation to Willsboro Feral Cat Committee in her name.

Ruthann will be dearly missed and forever remembered.
