Richard Graver

August 17, 1942 — January 30, 2024

Richard Earl Graver, a loving husband, devoted father, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on January 30, 2024, in Lewis, NY at the age of 81. Born on August 17, 1942, in Indianapolis, IN, Richard was the son of the late W. Harrison Graver and Eleanore Cooper Graver.

Richard is survived by his beloved wife, Jean Graver, who stood by his side for 54 years. He was a loving father to their son, Derek Graver, and daughter, Emily Graver. He also cared deeply for his three granddaughters, Taylor, Tera, and Chloe. Additionally, he was survived by his sister, Janet West and husband Butch.

Richard valued knowledge and pursued his passion for sales into a successful career in the industrial computer industry, making lasting connections and leaving a legacy of professionalism and dedication.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Richard had a profound love for music. His favorites consisted of opera and classical which could be heard anytime you rode in his car. His dedication to his craft extended beyond music as he had a natural talent for working on computers. It was a source of pride and joy for him, which he gladly shared with others.

Adventurous at heart, Richard found solace as he embarked on motorcycle journeys throughout the United States and Canada. Exploring the vast landscapes, he connected with the beauty of nature and the exhilaration of the open road. In 2004, Richard and Jean made the incredible decision to relocate to the Adirondack Mountains from Carmel, Indiana, where they could indulge their love of boating and continue his motorcycling adventures.

Richard will be remembered for his compassion, wisdom, and genuine care for others. His warm smile brought comfort to those around him.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Jim Graver.

To honor Richard's memory, a memorial service will be held at Westport Bible Church on February 24, 2024 at 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Westport Bible Church Youth Ministries at 24 Youngs Road, Westport, NY 12993.

As we bid farewell to Richard, we hold dear the memories we shared and the impact he had on our lives. May his soul rest in eternal peace with the Lord.
