Phyllis Rose Pulsifer, 76, passed away peacefully after a long illness on January 20, 2026. She was born on May 19, 1949, in Elizabethtown to Hector Bashaw and Alice Mercury. Phyllis was an adventurous soul living in several of the towns of the Adirondacks but came back to settle in her hometown of Lewis. Though she had several occupations over the years, her love for numbers and people was the perfect fit as CSR for Serkil where she retired.

She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, big holiday dinners, and seeing her grandchildren. She looked forward to seeing her extended family Lisia, Roger, and John Griffin. They held a special spot in her heart along with her faithful companion Diamond (piggy), she went with her everywhere.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons Robert Pulsifer, Todd Bashaw, Dean Bashaw, and their families; her sisters Nellie (William) Pulsifer and Leta Pierce and families; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Robert Pulsifer; her brothers Richard Bashaw, Frank Bashaw, her sister Joyce Passino; and companion Keneth Denton.
