Oscar Bermudez

Oscar Bermudez, 50, of Plattsburgh, passed way unexpectedly as a result of a motorcycle accident in Florida on February 20, 2025. He was born on July 6, 1974 to Oscar Bermudez, Sr. and Ivette Zayas.

He loved riding his motorcycles, fishing with friends and spending time with his family, especially his daughter who he would take on different trips around the country. He would love to DJ events on the side and be the life of their party. He later decided to follow his childhood dream of becoming a truck driver and meet new friends everywhere he went. His loyalty, laughter, smile, & being a dad will truly be missed.

He was preceded in death by his father.

He is survived by his only child, Carlya Bermudez; his mother Ivette Zayas; his stepfather John Zayas; and his siblings Joanna Zayas Hampton, Wendy Morales, and John Zayas.

A funeral service will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, February 28, 2025 at 5:00 p.m. at Heidrick Funeral Home, 48 Court St., Plattsburgh.
