Obituary

Meaghan Slater, age 34, passed away unexpectedly at her home on January 16, 2026. Born in Plattsburgh, New York, on July 26, 1991, she was the cherished daughter of Larry Fresn and Cindy Morrison.

Meaghan's life was filled with creativity, joy, and deep love for her family. She had a passion for diamond art, spending countless hours crafting beautiful designs that reflected her vibrant spirit. Her love of photography meant she was always ready to capture the special moments-big and small-that made life meaningful.

Music brought Meaghan happiness and unforgettable memories. She was especially fond of Pentatonix and treasured the times she saw them perform live in Saratoga Springs and Essex Junction.

Above all, Meaghan's greatest love was for her children, husband, and family. She devoted herself wholeheartedly to their happiness and well-being, finding joy in the everyday moments spent together.

Meaghan enjoyed gathering with friends to play cards, where her laughter and warmth made every evening memorable. Bowling was another favorite pastime that she shared with family and friends, always bringing a spirit of fun and friendly competition.

She is survived by her husband David; her children Liam Jarbeau, Carter Fresn, Hunter Fresn and her stepchildren Austin Slater and Brianna Slater; her parents Cindy Fresn and Larry Fresn; her brothers Joshua (Stephanie) Fresn and Jason Fresn.

A gathering of family and friends will take place to honor Meaghan's life on Friday, January 30, 2026, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Heidrick Funeral Home, 48 Court St., Plattsburgh.
