Margaret "Peg" Schneider passed away peacefully in the arms of her children and grandchildren on Friday, August 12th at her home.
Peg was born on December 28th 1932 in Punxatawney, Pennsylvania to Bruce and Hannah Cunningham. They moved to Oshkosh, Wisconsin where she met and married her husband Kenneth. Together they raised 5 children and later a grandchild. Kenneth worked in the paper industry as a Chief Project Engineer. In his field of work, the family lived all over the east coast finally settling in what they both referred to as “God's country”; Willsboro NY on Lake Champlain.
Peg spent the majority her marriage raising her children until she became a real estate broker. She then became a legal secretary finishing her career at Prisoner's Legal Service's. There she made many close friends, one of whom was with her until the end. Family was the most important thing to her always having her home as the gathering for all events.
Peg was always involved in her church, local theaters but mostly her children and grandchildren.
Peg is survived by her husband Kenneth Schneider, Sons; Scotty (Linda) Schneider and Randy Schneider. Daughters, Sue Neilly, Anne (Scott) Marcotte and Meg Schneider. Grandchildern, Donna (John) Pearson, Hannah (Kyle) Jacques, Allison Neilly, Sam Marcotte, Adam Schneider, Ryan Schneider, Nikki Schneider, Rachel Schneider and Austin Ferris. As well as, two great-grandchildren Emma and Layla Jacques.
She was predeceased by her parents Bruce and Hannah Cunningham and her only sibling; Carol Ellis.
May she ride on the wings of an angel and in eternal life forever.
A celebration of her life will be held at her home on Saturday, August 20th from 1-4pm. Donations may be made in her memory to the Westport, SPCA.
