Lennie French, age 70, passed away unexpectedly at his home on March 1, 2026. Born in Elizabethtown on May 3, 1955 to Donald French and Vina Nolette, Lennie lived a life defined by adventure, kindness, and a passion for the open road.

Lennie was the devoted husband of Judy Pierce, with whom he shared countless memories and miles. His idea of a vacation was unique-hitting the highways together while he was driving truck, especially relishing trips through Wyoming. Lennie's first experience driving truck was at the age of 14 moving carnival rides. Through the years he drove for many trucking companies from the northeast, Colorado, coast to coast forging friendships wherever he went. He was known for his warm spirit and ability to connect with people; even when working out of state, he would often run into locals who became lifelong friends.

He loved antique vehicles and enjoyed attending car shows, riding his Harley, always eager to share his enthusiasm with others. Lennie enjoyed spending time with family and friends at Lincoln Pond.

Above all, Lennie loved everyone. His kindness, generosity, and humor touched the lives of many.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his brothers Gary French and Ricky French; his niece Brenda Cross; and his nephew Jeremy French.

He is survived by his wife, Judy; his children Ethan French (Emma Ainsworth) and Emily French (Devin McDonald); his sisters Wanda (Larry) Cross and Connie French; and his nephews Corey Cross, Jarid French, Ian Pierce, and Owen Pierce.

A service to honor Lennie's life will be held at a later date.
