Mrs. Kathryn E. “Kay” Macy, 85, of South Catherine Street, passed away Thursday November 13, 2008 at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh with her family by her side. She was born in Lawrence, Mass. on April 8, 1923 daughter of the late Edgar and Margaret (Rooney) Brault. Kay worked as a Nurses Aid at Physicians Hospital and was the Cafeteria Manager at the Broad Street School for many years. She enjoyed spending her summers on Lake Champlain in Alburg, Vermont with her husband Vernon, who predeceased her in 1995. Kay is survived by three daughters Sandra Rasco of Milton, VT., Karen Rabideau and her husband Gary of Plattsburgh, Kathleen Flanders and her husband Raymond of Sacramento, CA., seven grandchildren Shannon Rasco (Barrows) and partner Mario Nardelli of Milton, VT., Tracy Bushey and her husband Steve of Milton, VT., Jason Rasco and his wife Mary Graham of Kalispell, MT., Joel Rasco and partner Lesha Gates of Westford, VT., Kim Chamberlain and her husband Jason of Gainesville, FL., Stephan Rabideau of Gainseville, Fl., Lalainya Macey of Sacramento, CA., thirteen great grandchildren Derek Barrows, Katon, Cooper and Cam Bushey, Macy and McDowell Rasco, Emeri Rasco, Nicholas Rabideau, Colin Yost, Casey, Corey and Cegan Chamberlain and Jacob Hunt. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Sunday November 16, 2008 from 3:00 to 6:00 PM at the Heald Funeral Home, 48 Court Street, Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday November 17 at 1:00 PM from St. Peter’s Church in Plattsburgh. Burial will follow in St. Peter’s Cemetery.
