Katherine Heuser

November 1, 1945 — October 26, 2025

Katherine Lillian Heuser of Au Sable Forks N.Y. passed away on October 26, 2025 at the age of 79. Born on November 1, 1945 in Elizabeth N.J. Katherine was the cherished daughter of George Heuser Sr. and Mary Zeyock. Katherine grew up in Roselle N.J. and was pre-deceased by her brother George Heuser Jr. in August of 2025.

Katherine graduated from Abraham Clark Highschool in Roselle N.J. in 1963. She then attended the Newark School of business in Newark N.J. and earned her associates degree in 1965. She then went on to work for the VHA in Washington D.C. from 1967-1969. She then went on to work for Air Products in Maryland.

In 1972 she moved to Piscataway N.J. and in 1973 her daughter Dawn was born. Then in 1981 she started a job at Reinmann Realty in Dunellen N.J. It was there that she met the love of her life David Reinmann Sr. Katherine married David on May 1, 1986 in Keeseville N.Y. David and Katherine moved their family to Westport N.Y. on February 10, 1986 and started Eagle Valley Farms in Westport N.Y. It was Katherine 's childhood dream to one day own a horse. David made that dream come true as the farm at one time was home to 30 horses.

Katherine went to work for O'Connell and Wolfe law offices in Plattsburgh N.Y. from 1987-1989. She then worked for Asadourian and Johnston Law Offices from 1989-1997. Then in 1998 she started to work for Schluter Systems. She was known as " The Voice of Schluter". She retired this year due to her ongoing battle with Ovarian cancer.

Katherine was a very hard worker who was employed for 60 years of her life. She was an excellent typist and took shorthand from dictation that no one in the family could read. In the last few years of her life Katherine worked even while receiving her chemo treatments. She attributed her toughness to her N.J. German-Slovack roots as she described it.

Katherine's dedication to her work and family are unmatched. David and Katherine also started their own business from 2002-2020 called North Country Inspections. She would work all day at Schluter then come home and "put the work in" for NCI in the evening.

Katherine lost David on January 5, 2024. His loss left her broken hearted. Katherine loved to listen to Doo Wop music. Especially if it was Jersey Doo Wop as she called it. She also loved 80's country music, Elvis and of course Frank Sinatra . Katherine also loved to ride horses, cross stitch, crochet, read, get her nails done with her daughter and great granddaughter, shop with her grandson Nash or as she called him "Joe College" and taking care of her cat Nuckey.

Katherine was a Jersey girl at heart. She never learned how to pump her own gas, wore a lot of animal print and loved shoes and jewelry. She would often say," I'm not the one with the accent ". Katherine made many laugh sharing stories from her Jersey past . She will be missed by many friends family and colleagues. Katherine is survived by her Daughter Dawn and Son Derec Reinmann. Granddaughters Brittany Tromblee (Reinmann), and Aubrey Reinmann. Grandsons Nash Reinmann, David Reinmann III and Adam Reinmann . Great granddaughters Aria Reinmann and Gillian Reinman and great grandson Dayne Reinmann.
