James N. “Frenchie” Phillips, 72, of Westport, passed away unexpectedly on March 7, 2023 in Elizabethtown. He was born in Elizabethtown on January 14, 1951son of the late Norman and Marion (Nollette) Phillips
James worked in Reber in his earlier years, went on to work for NYSDOT for over 25 years. After his retirement] he had his own excavation business for many years. James loved to take road trips with his wife Betty to the casino and Thousand Islands .
He leaves behind his wife of 27 years Betty and many family members. He was preceded in death by his and a brother John.
Calling hours will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday March 10, 2023 at Heald Funeral Home, 7521 Court Street, Elizabethtown.
