James "Jim" Deso

James "Jim" Deso, 83, of Willsboro, formerly of Keeseville, passed away peacefully at his home on November 4, 2026, surrounded by his loved ones.

Known affectionately as Jim, Jimmy, and Jimmer, he spent many years living in the Keeseville and Willsboro communities, where he was well known and cared for by many. In his retirement years, Jim enjoyed a quieter pace of life, spending time at home and doing the things that brought him happiness.

Jim is survived by his sister, Shirley; his brother, David; his nephew, Greg; and many other beloved family members who will cherish his memory.

Jim found joy in life's simple pleasures. He had a special fondness for balls and was rarely without one or two tucked into his hands or pockets. Christmas was his favorite time of year, and he especially loved everything about Santa Claus. A good cup of coffee and a bowl of ice cream could always brighten his day.

Those who knew Jim will forever remember his beautiful blue eyes and the warm smile that could light up a room. He had a charming way with people, especially the ladies, often reaching for a hand so he could gently give it a kiss, a gesture that reflected his affectionate and friendly nature.

Jim's kindness, unique spirit, and joyful personality touched the lives of many. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, November 12, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peter's Cemetery in Plattsburgh.
