Gary "Alligator" Crowningshield, 64, of Point Road in Willsboro, passed away Monday July 28, 2014 at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh with his family by his side. He was born in Elizabethtown on April 16, 1950 son of the late LeRoy and Rose (Coonrod) Crowningshield.
Gary loved going for rides looking for deer and socializing with everyone. During his younger years he loved fishing, Video games, watching wrestling and flirting with the women. He was a happy man and a joy to be around. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
He is survived by his sister Linda Gerber,his brothers LeRoy O. Crowningshield, Roger Crowningshield and his wife Bonnie, several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He is also survived by his extended family at Mountain Lake Services and his special friend Debbie. He is predeceased by his brother in law Raymond Gerber, a sister in law Elizabeth Crowningshield and a great nephew Cobe Crowningshield.
Calling hours will be Thursday July 31, 2014 from 11:00 Am to 1:00 PM at the Marvin-Heald Funeral Home, 7521 Court Street in Elizabethtown. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in the New Burt Cemetery in Wallonsburg.
