Brenda LaCroix (Noel), 54, of Emmons Street, Dannemora, died in her home after fighting a courageous battle with cancer on Tuesday, December 27, 2016. She was born in Plattsburgh on November 15, 1962, the daughter of Richard and Esther (Ryan) Noel. She married the love of her life, Brian LaCroix on November 12, 1983.
Brenda was a member of St. Joseph’s Church in Dannemora. She worked at various jobs throughout her life, but her first and most important job was to take care of her family. Brenda enjoyed sitting out by the fire, exercising, and dancing. Most of all, Brenda loved her children and grandchildren. Any moment she spent with them was a time that she cherished. She also had a best friend in her dog, Bowzer, who was always found by her side when she was home.
Survivors include her three children, Nicholas LaCroix and his wife Sarah, Brandon LaCroix, and Brittany LaCroix; five grandchildren, Samantha, Kaiyah, Kavon, Zachary, and Jacob; her father, Richard Noel Sr.; seven siblings, Richard Noel Jr. and his wife Michelle, Julie Gordon, Ann Messier and her husband Daniel, Sonya Barber and her husband Bruce, Jodi Conway and her husband David, David Noel and his wife Jean, Mary Paiser and her husband Christopher; and several nieces, nephews, and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Brian LaCroix; her mother, Esther Noel; and her grandparents.
Calling hours will be held from 4 to 7 p.m., Friday, December 30, 2016 at Heald Funeral Home, 48 Court Street, Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 AM, Saturday, December 31, 2016 at St. Joseph’s Church in Dannemora. Burial will take place in the spring at St. Joseph’s cemetery.
