Bertha Borden

Bertha Borden, 81, of Westport, NY died peacefully at her home with family and friends by her side. She was born in Port Henry, NY to Harry and Dorothy (Cowin) Hopkins. Shewas married to Irwin Borden Sr. for 46 years.
Bertha is survived by her four children, son Irwin Jr. and his wife Sheila (Bliss); daughter Theresa Borden and companion John Baker; son Brian Sr. and daughter Laura Pond, nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren plus two brothers Ralph and his wife Irene and Dan. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband Irwin Sr. (Duffer), a sister Doris Moses and a brother Harry.
Bertha was a day care provider for 20 years and employed as a CNA at the Horace Nye Home in Elizabethtown, NY, for 19 years.
A graveside service will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday October 12, 2022 at Black River Cemetery in Westport.
