Alan Bayless, Sr.

Alan W. Bayless, 59, of Elizabethtown, NY, passed away after a battle with cancer on August 26, 2023, surrounded by family at the Elizabethtown Community Hospital. Alan was born in Plattsburgh, NY on January 20, 1964, to Evelyn and Bill Bayless. He attended Willsboro Central School and enlisted in the United States Navy upon graduation. After his service in the Navy, Alan worked for many years as an HVAC Technician in New York and Florida.

He is survived by his parents, Evelyn and Bill Bayless; daughter, Heather Bernstein; grandchildren AJ and Kaila; brother, Wally Buck and companion Mylin; beloved canine companion, Dixie; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. 

Alan was predeceased by his son, Alan W. Bayless, Jr. (AJ), and brother, Daniel M. Buck.

At Alan's request, no calling hours or funeral services will be held. A private memorial service for the family will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made in Alan's name to Hospice of the North Country: 358 Tom Miller Road, Plattsburgh, NY 12901 or the Albany Stratton VA Medical Center Development and Civic Engagement.
